The National Association of State Foresters’ (NASF) Foundation sponsors  photography fellowships to help tell compelling visual stories about state and private forestry in the United States. Grace Mirzeler, CWSF Member Services Associate, is participating in this fellowship and had the opportunity to participate in two photo trips on behalf of NASF and recently concluded her participation in the photography fellowship with a photo trip to Salida, CO.

Yesterday, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued its decision that no additional regulations are needed to address stormwater discharges from forest roads under the Clean Water Act (CWA). 

Yesterday, Chief Ken Pimlott, California State Forester and Director of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), and member of the Council of Western State Foresters (CWSF) and the National Association of State Foresters (NASF), testified at the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources hearing in Washington D.C.
