The Oregon Department of Forestry is advising the public about fire restrictions and what to expect as fire danger levels go up. Right now fire danger remains low but ODF officials say the danger level historically reaches moderate at the end of June. 

Once fire danger reaches the moderate category, the opportunities for the public to cut their dried grass or do other fire prevention around their home becomes harder. If a wildfire is sparked or spread due to negligence, it could mean a big citation or that person could be found liable for the damage and suppression costs.
