Experts are predicting another dangerous fire season this year as the coronavirus pandemic continues.
The National Interagency Fire Center issued an outlook for significant wildland fire potential over the next three months in Northern California and throughout various fire-prone regions of the state. Short-handed fire agencies are expected to see far less wildfire response funding and routine controlled burns that cut out the most flammable trees and vegetation have been put on hold due to COVID-19 concerns.
We talk with the director of Cal Fire about it today and what to expect this season.
