What was your first position in the field of forestry?

Continuous Forest Inventory Crew, Pacific Northwest Forest and Range Experiment Station - field stationed at various points east and north of Seattle, WA.

How long have you been in your role?

Eight years.

What do you enjoy most about being a CWSF member?

Traveling the region and subsequently learning more about western ecology and western forest management issues and opportunities particularly the successes achieved on Trust lands.

What do you see to be the emerging issues in your state?

Accelerated riparian forest clearing, Invasive species (plants and insects and diseases), and rising property taxes on forested tracts.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?

Carpentry – with emphasis on residential construction.
